About two weeks ago, I got my hair done. A complete makeover thanks to Blow Dry Bar. It's been two weeks since I've had my new hair and I've been getting compliments all around! People are asking me where I got it done and I keep promising- yes, blog post coming soon! And now it's finally here! Yay :) 

Alright, let me recall from the beginning...

As I walked into the store, Mary immediately recognised me and said, "You're Joanne, right?!" and I was so happy- I felt valued and understood. She then sat me down and brought me coffee and offered me some Vogue issues which I said yes to duh. 

And then shortly after, my stylist Ashley came over and we started discussing what I want. Ashley had this sexy strong Bri'ish accent which made me love her even more and trusted everything she said. We opted for balayage, with blonde tips and big hair look, which I'm currently digging. 

We also decided that I was not allowed to look into the mirror, so she turned my chair around so that I was facing the other way. It was pretty nerve-wrecking, and even though I sort of already had an idea of what's happening, I was itching to find out what my hair looks like. 

I will never forget the moment they turned my chair around.... I was literally screaming. At first it was a gasp, and then "AHHH!!!"s ensued.  I could not recognise myself for a second. As you can see from the pictures above, Ashley did this amazing curls and it looks incredible to me (I've always had semi straight hair, so curls are a massive deal in the Bam It's Joanne books!). 

Oh and I forgot to mention, while giving my hair the last finishing touches, their resident MUA Koco was also there, applying make up on me. Now girls, this is what's amazing about BDB, because they're your one stop shop where you can head in for a wash, style or blow dry, and full face makeup before heading for a charity ball or a night out! 

The whole process took about 3 hours, and I was pampered to no end. I feel like it was truly needed, since my last visit to a salon was over a year ago! I will definitely be visiting BDB again- not letting anyone touch my hair!
