GENESIS FASHION SHOW

So so honoured to be invited to the Genesis Fashion Show! I got my hair done (complimentary!) by NAK Hair. They have the best hair stylists ever -- the second image perfectly describes my delight when I saw what they've done to my hair! I'm sure you've already noticed how bland my hair looks for every outfit photo. I never do anything special to my hair-- not even on special night outs! Speaking of which, I've been wanting to do something completely different to my hair now... Looking around for good Sydney hair salons.. Any recommendations? Happy to be a hair model as well if anyone's interested in a Asian with thick dark brown hair (dyed once)! ;)

Anyway, I've digress (as I do in every post). Let's talk about the clothes at Genesis. These designs are from one of my favourite labels, Tanouk. Sports Luxe was a pretty evident theme, and I especially love the shorts with the asymmetrical orange bit and stud detailing on the waist (6th picture from the top).

WHERE TO BUY CELINE TARTAN SKATES?

Hi Ellie,

I am equally as obsessed as you are! In Australia, the only way you can purchase them is online, since the Celine in David Jones will not have them in stock. However, it's a little tricky since Celine does not allow their clothing and accessories (except sunglasses) to be sold online. I suggest you email the customer service at Matches Fashion and they will let you know which sizes they have left in stock!

STYLE STALKER: RAP MUSIC MADE ME DO IT

Can I please just say, THIS COLLECTION IS INSANE!!

When I received this press kit in my inbox, I was viewing the collection from my mobile phone (replying emails on the go, as always), and for some reason one of the models reminded me of the gorgeous Em Rata from the infamous Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines music video! Who else reckon's so?! Or am I just blind....

Anywhoo, I've been a fan of this Australian Label StyleStalker since a few years ago. I particularly remembered this campaign they had 2 years ago called Baby's On Fire (you can view the images HERE). It featured Anja Konstantinova, a crazily talented Russian/Aussie model with platinum blonde hair. She had so many little tattoos all over her body, and a "MEOW" tattoo written across her inner lip! It's still one of my favorite look book campaigns to date, and sometimes I think it has a lot to do with the model and the styling.

Anyway, enough about past events, I'm really excited for StyleStalker's latest collection Rap Music Made Me Do It! It's a combination of sport luxe and of course, lots of prints, StyleStalker way!

OZSALE FLASH FRENZY

So... guess who's the lucky bitch who got a pair of Nike runners for herself? Yes damn right! it's MEEEE :) I have been wanting a pair of nice running shoes for a while now (it's on my birthday/ Xmas wish list), and I guess the stars have aligned just for me because Ozsale is having a massive Flash Frenzy event! This means over 80% for some of the biggest brands ever!!

To be honest, I was a bit hesitant at the start because when I joined Ozsale as a member last year (free membership!), I was slightly disappointed with their product offerings because while their sales are legit (like, so cheap), most of the items on the site was not so much things that I'll wear. Either that, or all the small sizes were sold out.

So if you were like me, I urge you to definitely check out this Flash Frenzy event! It's one of the biggest online events ever, and they've come a long way since then! The brands are getting better, selections are really impressive. I was blown away by the line up of brands I saw on sale, including OPI ($9 polishes!), Nike, Adidas, Zara, One Teaspoon, Cheap Monday, Revlon, etc. It's crazy I'm telling ya!!! Perfect way to procrastinate for final exams :P

I can't wait to receive my shoes in the mail so I can be even more motivated to be healthy over the summer (and also will be wearing these shoes as a fashion statement hehe)!

LACK OF COLOR SS13/14

When I received these stunning high resolution imagery in my mailbox this morning, I couldn't help but go through the pictures over and over again. These are just a fine, personal selection from their latest spring/summer collection, Rebirth of Color! Ah..mayzing. I wonder who did the styling and location sourcing for it. If it's you, Tess, you're absolutely incredible.

Lack Of Color specializes in short and wide brim fedora's made exclusively from premium Australian wool. Since its inception, Lack Of Color has been worn by celebrities including Lara Bingle, Isabella Cornish and Jesinta Campbell. The new summer range is fresh, clean and bright in shades that are the perfect addition to classic cotton basics or billowy floral dresses!

I already own a piece of LOC short brim fedora in a watermelon color. This was when LOC newly launched on Instagram, and I've entered their IG competition and won it as a prize! I can't believe how far LOC has took off, and am incredibly honored to return to collab with them once again, this time as a blogger. I have already chosen my favorite piece this time round, and it's their Montana Midnight Muse no doubt! I figured since I already have a short brimmed one in a pop, summery color, it's only natural that I go for a black wide brimmed to add to my growing collection...

Can't wait till I receive in the mailbox! It'll be my next summer staple (would look perfect with my black bikinis and/or denim cut-offs), and I can't wait to style them up in editorials as well. MAKE UP SOCIAL LAUNCH PARTY

About two weeks ago, I was invited to the Makeup Social Launch Party! It was a night event filled with makeup, food, pretty girls and famous YouTube beauty gurus like Chloe Morella, Amy Sass... and the rest I'm not so sure the name of, because I don't really watch YouTube makeup tutorials :P Needless to say, it was a great night!

So what is Makeup Social you might ask? It's a social media platform for beauty, so think Facebook, but all about Makeup and skincare. You can upload your #MOTD (makeup of the day) and tag products that you use. So example, Chanel translucent powder, Maybelline lipstick, etc.... Another feature which I think is really cool is where you get to upload beauty items into your beauty shelf, so you get to see what sort of products I use daily. Lastly, the best feature is probably where you get to see people with different skin type and skin color, and check out whether you're similar. This is because a certain product may work well for skin type A, but not necessarily for skin type B. That's why it's important to hear about makeup advice from people who are similar to you, and MUS allows you to do exactly that. You can see whether someone is 80% similar to you, and you might want to trust their judgments on product reviews as opposed to someone else who are totally different than you.
